A carnelian intaglio engraved with a gryllos composed of a bearded male head in left profile conjoined at a right angle with a second bearded head turned downward. It is set in a possibly later gold ring with a broad tapering hoop and an oval bezel. Size: D:18.54mm / US: 8 1/2 / UK: Q 1/2; Weight: 7g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier circulating on the Netherlands art market in the 1980s.
