ROMAN LEGIONARY EAGLE PENDANT.

A gold pendant in the form of an eagle standing upright on a flat base, with the head held high, a hooked beak, and a small crest. The folded wings are incised with plumage, and a suspension hole is set at the back.
Size: 21mm x 13mm; Weight: 6.5g
Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier circulating on the Belgium art market in the 1980s.
