Description
PAIR OF PHOENICIAN GLASS FACE BEADS.
Ca. 500 BC.
A pair of glass face beads, each of cylindrical form with a central perforation. The bead on the left is in dark and light blue glass with a white face, concentric blue eyes, and a row of pale blue and white bosses framing the face. The bead on the right has a pale face on a blue ground with large circular eyes, a projecting nose, and rows of applied bosses around the openings.
