ROMAN CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF WINGED VICTORY BEFORE AN ALTAR IN GOLD RING. Ca. AD 300. A carnelian intaglio engraved with winged Victory standing before an altar, extending a wreath in her left hand and holding a palm branch in her right, all on a groundline, mounted in a possibly later gold ring with an oval bezel framed by twisted wire and a beaded border, and an openwork braided hoop with scroll shoulders decorated with pellets.
