A carnelian intaglio engraved with a gryllos composed of the conjoined heads of a Silenus, ram, and horse, on rooster legs, mounted in a possibly later gold ring with a ribbed hoop and an oval bezel framed by a beaded border. Size: D:16.31mm / US: 5 3/4 / UK: L; Weight: 4.7g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier part of a UK ancient art collection dating to the early 2000s; prior ownership with G.M. pre-1996.
