VIKING SILVER ROPEWORK MEDALLION.
Ca. AD 700 - 900.
A silver medallion with the obverse decorated with ropework arranged around a central granulated lozenge, with further pellets along the outer twisted wire border and a rolled suspension loop at the apex. The reverse is plain and flat.
