Description
VIKING SILVER PENDANT WITH MASK OF ODIN.
Ca. AD 700 - 900.
A silver pendant decorated on the obverse with a symmetrical arrangement of scrolls, roundels, and braided wire, centred by a stylised human mask identified as Odin. A domed suspension loop is set at the upper edge. The reverse is plain and concave.

Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in Austrian private collection 1980s-early 1990s
