Description
VIKING SILVER PENDANT WITH KNOT MOTIF.
Ca. AD 900.
A silver pendant of stepped cruciform outline. The obverse is decorated with interlacing bands bordered by rows of pellets, with two circular perforations at the centre. The loop is formed as a horizontal tube with collared ends. The reverse is plain.
For similar see: The Hiddensee treasure found in 1872/1873 on the German island of Hiddensee in the Baltic Sea, now in Stralsund Museum of Cultural History.
