BYZANTINE GOLD RING WITH RED GARNET INTAGLIO OF A CROWNED CRANE.

A gold ring with a flat-section hoop with a central groove, bifurcated shoulders with scrolls and three gold pellets, and an oval bezel cell with a twisted wire border, set with a convex red garnet intaglio engraved with a crowned crane standing in profile.
