Description
VIKING SILVER-GILT MJOLNIR AMULET.
Ca. AD 700 - 1000.
A silver-gilt Mjolnir amulet with a tall tapering shaft ending in a loop above a broad flaring head decorated with applied twisted wire arranged in spirals, roundels, and a central interlace motif, all within a ropework border. The reverse is plain.
