MATCHED PAIR OF SELJUK GOLD FILIGREE EARRINGS. Ca. AD 1100 - 1200. A matched pair of gold earrings, each with a tall, round-section hoop and three openwork ellipsoid balls arranged around a central circular setting decorated with concentric circles of twisted wire. The balls are formed from filigree scrolls encircled at the middle by beaded bands, with twisted wire spirals between them.
