GREEK PERIOD WHITISH STONE CYLINDER SEAL WITH GUARDIAN FIGURES AND A WINGED BUST.
Ca. 500 - 300 BC.
A whitish stone cylinder seal, drilled longitudinally and engraved with two guardian figures flanking a four-winged royal bust, with a winged solar disk above.
Size: 36mm x 16mm; Weight: 19g
Provenance: Private London collection of an Ancient Art dealer; formerly in a central London family collection, 1990s; reportedly examined by Wilfrid George Lambert in the late 1980s–early 1990s; ex UK art market, 1970s–early 1980s.
