COLLECTION OF MESOPOTAMIAN AND ANATOLIAN STONE STAMP SEALS, CYLINDER SEALS AND AN AMULET - ORIGINAL.
Ca. 4000 - 2000 BC.
A collection of stamp seals, cylinder seals and an amulet, including, from left: a terracotta amulet depicting a standing quadruped, perhaps a sheep, in general outline without details; a dark stone stamp seal with a flat oval face and a back rising and declining to a convex surface, pierced lengthways, the design showing a quadruped above a fallen or sideways man, with another motif; a red stone stamp seal, a hemispheroid pierced horizontally, with two small springing animals, one above the other; a grey stone stamp seal, a hemispheroid pierced diagonally, with a drilled horned animal; a brown stone stamp seal, a hemispheroid pierced near the face, with a pattern of drill holes, perhaps a rosette or an insect with wings spread; a black stone cylinder seal with a design based on diagonal lines and oval shapes; and a dark stone cylinder seal with three standing women in long robes raising their hands, separated by deep grooves.
