COLLECTION OF MESOPOTAMIAN STONE STAMP SEALS AND AN AMULET - ORIGINAL LAMBERT REPORT. Ca. 3500 - 2000 BC. A collection of stamp seals and an amulet, including, from top left: a brown and fawn stone stamp seal, a hemisphere with flanges around the ends of the horizontal hole, the design showing nine water creatures squeezed in; a translucent veined stone stamp seal, a hemispheroid pierced horizontally, with two small springing animals tete-beche and filling devices, drilled; a grey stone with yellow veins stamp seal, a hemispheroid pierced sideways, with two small springing animals tete-beche, drilled; a grey and white stone stamp seal, a roughly round disk with convex face and a back ridged over the hole, with a linear pattern; a cream stone with fawn and brown veins stamp seal, a hemispheroid, with a circle of three animals; a veined whitish stone stamp seal, a hemispheroid pierced horizontally, with two small springing animals tete-beche, drilled; a black stone stamp seal with white veins, with a flat round face and a loop handle on the back, the design of a whorl; a cream stone amulet carved as a small springing animal about to pounce, on a deep base; and an off-white stone stamp seal, a hemispheroid pierced sideways, with two small springing animals, one above the other, drilled.
