EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARAB WITH HIEROGLYPHIC COMPOSITION IN SILVER SWIVEL RING.
Middle Kingdom to New Kingdom, Ca. 2030 - 1069 BC. A steatite scarab, preserving traces of blue glaze, with a domed back marked by a double-lined suture and single incised lines separating the pronotum from the elytra. The flat base is engraved with a hieroglyphic composition featuring an expression for good wishes and protection framed by two basket (neb) signs.
