HELLENISTIC GOLD EROS PENDANT.
Ca. 300 - 100 BC.
A gold pendant of Eros seated nude, with his left leg bent and his right leg extended, with a suspension loop above and twisted wire attachments at the sides.

Size: 26mm x 15mm; Weight: 2g
Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a distinguished New York private collection, assembled between 1975 and 1995. The collection was authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery. A significant number of objects from this collection were also published in a professional catalogue.
