BYZANTINE GOLD CROSS PENDANT WITH GARNET AND GLASS CABOCHONS.
Ca. AD 600 - 800 (or later).
A gold cross pendant with broad lobed arms, each set with a red glass cabochon, centred by a garnet, with a plain suspension loop above. The outer edge is bordered with granulation. The reverse is plain.
