BYZANTINE SILVER RING WITH GREEK INSCRIPTION.
Ca. AD 900 - 1100.
A silver ring with a lozenge-shaped bezel engraved with a four-line Greek inscription reading "ΚΕ / ΒΟΗΘΗΤ / ΟΝΦΟΡC / ΝΤΑΤ". The hoop tapers from the bezel and is decorated on the exterior with closely spaced diagonal notches.
