LARGE SELJUK SILVER AND NIELLO PENDANT WITH PHYTOMORPHIC MOTIFS. Ca. AD 900 - 1100. A large silver pendant of crescent shape with faceted perforated terminals. Both faces are decorated with niello scrollwork arranged around a large central roundel filled with phytomorphic motifs. Size: 125mm x 95mm; Weight: 115g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired on the French art market during the 1990s.
