COLLECTION OF OLD SYRIAN AND NEO-ASSYRIAN STONE CYLINDER SEALS. Ca. 1800 - 750 BC. A collection of three stone cylinder seals, including, from left to right: an early Neo-Assyrian reddish stone seal engraved with a hunting scene showing a hero with a bow pursuing a gazelle; an Old Syrian-Levantine hematite seal engraved with an Egyptian-style enthroned figure accompanied by three standing rulers or heroes wearing Lower Egyptian crowns; and an Old Syrian-Levantine hematite seal engraved with a naked love goddess accompanied by priestesses, two male worshippers, and a rabbit. Size: 17-22mm x 9-10mm; Weight: 10g Provenance: Private London collection of an Ancient Art dealer; formerly in a central London family collection, 1990s; reportedly examined by Wilfrid George Lambert in the late 1980s–early 1990s; ex UK art market, 1970s–early 1980s.
