NEO-ELAMITE GREYISH STONE CYLINDER SEAL WITH A WINGED BIRD-HEADED GENIUS AND A BULL. Ca. 600 - 500 BC. A greyish stone cylinder seal, drilled longitudinally and engraved with a kneeling two-winged bird-headed genius grabbing a bull. An inscription is in the exergue. Size: 33mm x 16mm; Weight: 15g Provenance: Private London collection of an Ancient Art dealer; formerly in a central London family collection, 1990s; reportedly examined by Wilfrid George Lambert in the late 1980s–early 1990s; ex UK art market, 1970s–early 1980s.
