NEO-ASSYRIAN AGATE CYLINDER SEAL WITH A FOUR-WINGED GENIUS AND GAZELLES. Ca. 800 - 650 BC. An agate cylinder seal, drilled longitudinally and engraved with a four-winged genius grabbing two gazelles. A fish and a rhomboid are depicted in the exergue. Size: 33mm x 18mm; Weight: 19g Provenance: Private London collection of an Ancient Art dealer; formerly in a central London family collection, 1990s; reportedly examined by Wilfrid George Lambert in the late 1980s–early 1990s; ex UK art market, 1970s–early 1980s.
