RARE EGYPTIAN LAPIS LAZULI AMULET OF BASTET Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A lapis lazuli amulet of Bastet as a lioness-headed female figure wearing a full-length close fitting dress, seated upon a rectangular throne with open-work representations of Neheb-kau at the sides. She holds a sistrum before her body and grasps a papyrus sceptre in her other hand, its elongated stem extending to ankle level. A suspension loop projects behind the head.
