PAIR OF HELLENISTIC OPENWORK GOLD PENDANTS WITH PALMETTES Ca. 300 BC. A pair of gold pendants, each with a pyramid-shaped openwork body decorated with a central palmette and scrolling tendrils above a lattice band. The sides are applied with discs and bordered by twisted wire, with a ribbed suspension tube above and five loops beneath. Size: 22-23mm x 15-15mm; Weight: 7g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970Ð2006. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
