PAIR OF CELTIC SILVER BROOCHES Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A pair of silver brooches, each with an arched bow decorated with beaded ribs and transverse mouldings. Coiled wire binds the bow to a large circular head loop, with a long pin extending beneath to engage the catchplate. Size: 90-100mm x 22-25mm; Weight: 55g Provenance: Private collection of a Cambridgeshire gentleman; formerly with Allison Barker, 1990sÐ2007. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
