ROMAN AGATE CAMEO OF JULIUS CAESAR IN GOLD PENDANT Ca. 50 - 20 BC. An oval agate cameo carved with the profile bust of Julius Caesar facing right, with short curling hair and a strong neck. It is set in a possibly later gold pendant with a narrow plain frame and a broad suspension loop. For similar see: The Classical Art Research Centre, Record Number: 40005034. Size: 30mm x 22mm; Weight: 7.4g Provenance: From a London private collection; previously part of a Dutch collection formed between the 1970s and 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
