ROMAN AGATE CAMEO WITH DOUBLE CAPITA JUGATA IN GOLD PENDANT Ca. AD 1 - 300. An agate cameo carved with two opposed pairs of capita jugata, forming a janiform composition of four male profiles. Each pair is joined at the neck and faces outward from the centre, with layered hair and beards. The cameo is set in a possibly later gold pendant with a plain inner frame, an openwork scroll border, and a ribbed suspension loop above.
