A collection of glass stirring rods, including, from left to right: a cobalt blue glass rod wound with a spiralling white trail and tapering to pointed conical terminals at both ends; and colourless and pale green glass rods, each with a spirally twisted shaft, a loop at one end, and a broadened flattened terminal at the other.
