ROMANO-JEWISH CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF MENORAH IN GOLD RING Ca. AD 1 - 300. A carnelian intaglio engraved with a seven-branched menorah on a tripod base, each branch terminating in a flame. A pair of hands flank the stem. The gem is set in a possibly later gold ring with a plain oval bezel, the hoop formed from two parallel wires with triple granules at the shoulders.
