ROMAN AGATE INTAGLIO OF AN OFFERING SCENE IN GOLD PENDANT Ca. AD 1 - 300. A pyramid-shaped agate intaglio engraved on the flat underside with a standing figure raising both hands before a recumbent animal on an altar. It is mounted in a possibly later gold swivel pendant with a round-section shank, coiled terminals and a spiral suspension loop. Size: 27.5mm x 18mm; Weight: 7.7g Provenance: From a London private collection; previously part of a Dutch collection formed between the 1970s and 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
