MASSIVE ROMAN CARNELIAN INTAGLIO WITH LEDA AND SWAN IN GOLD PENDANT Ca. AD 1 - 300. A large carnelian intaglio engraved with Leda seated on a groundline, with Zeus in the guise of a swan standing before her and extending his neck towards her face. It is set in a possibly later gold pendant mount with an oval frame and a ribbed tubular suspension loop above. For similar see: The Classical Art Research Centre, Record Number: 40000317.
