LARGE SUMERIAN BLACK STONE FROG WITH INLAYS Ca. II Millennium BC. A black stone frog carved in a crouching posture with the head raised and the forelegs extended forward. The broad body narrows towards the head, with the folded hind legs modelled against the flanks and a median ridge along the back. Numerous circular inlays decorate the head, back and limbs. Size: 58mm x 33mm; Weight: 66g Provenance: Private UK collection; Ex private family collection of a North American gentleman, 1980-90's.
