EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARAB WITH CONCENTRIC CIRCLES IN GOLD RING Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A steatite scarab carved with a detailed head, prothorax and wing cases. The underside is engraved with seven linked concentric circles within a linear border. It is pierced longitudinally and mounted on a swivel bar within a possibly later gold ring with a rounded hoop and wire-bound terminals.
