MATCHED PAIR OF GRAECO-ETRUSCAN BOAT-SHAPED GOLD EARRINGS Ca. 500 - 400 BC. A matched pair of gold earrings, each with a tapered hoop and a boat-shaped body decorated with applied rows of granules forming festoons across the sides, with further granules arranged in clusters. Size: 16-17mm x 13-13mm; Weight: 2g Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a distinguished New York private collection, assembled between 1975 and 1995. The collection was authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery. A significant number of objects from this collection were also published in a professional catalogue.
