HELLENISTIC GOLD HORSE-SHAPED EARRING Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A gold earring with a ribbed hoop tapering to a plain hook terminal. A recumbent horse-shaped pendant is attached at the thicker end, with the legs folded beneath the body. Twisted wire bands encircle the neck, with a twisted crest along the mane and a conical ornament between the ears. For similar see: M.
