MATCHED PAIR OF GREEK GOLD BOAT-SHAPED EARRINGS WITH GRANULATION Ca. 400 - 200 BC. A matched pair of gold earrings, each with a curved hook suspending an oval element. The upper section is plain, with angular collars at the sides. Coiled wire and rows of granules decorate the lower arc. Size: 33-35mm x 16-16mm; Weight: 4.8g Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a distinguished New York private collection, assembled between 1975 and 1995. The collection was authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery. A significant number of objects from this collection were also published in a professional catalogue. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
