A pair of carnelian intaglios in gold rings, including, from left to right: an intaglio engraved with winged Eros seated in profile and holding a branch, set in a possibly later gold ring with the bezel enclosed by a circular ropework mount, granulated and filigree shoulders, and a plain slender hoop; and an intaglio engraved with a winged sphinx advancing to the left, set in a possibly later gold ring within a large setting bordered by twisted wire and flanked by elaborate trefoil shoulders with granules.
