COLLECTION OF ROMAN AND SASSANIAN GOLD RINGS Ca. AD 200 - 400. A collection of three gold rings, including, from left to right: a ring with a slender circular-section hoop and an oval bezel set with a red cabochon, the mount bordered by a beaded rim and flanked by single granules; a ring with a flat-section hoop divided at the shoulders and a swivel mount set with a silver intaglio engraved with a portrait head in profile; and a ring with a flat-section hoop expanding to crescentic shoulders decorated with applied granules and twisted wire borders, the oval bezel set with a blue grey intaglio engraved with a recumbent dog.
