EGYPTIAN FAIENCE HEDGEHOG AMULET Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A faience amulet of a hedgehog with a compact body supported on four short legs. The back is covered with moulded spines arranged in regular rows, with a pointed snout and a suspension loop above. Size: 20mm x 13mm; Weight: 2.8g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with G. M., Sweden 1980s-1990s.
