COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN STONE AND BRONZE SCARABS AND AMULET SEALS Ca. II millennium BC. A collection of four ancient Egyptian and Near Eastern amulets and seals, comprising oval and circular stamp seals, a pierced bead, and an example retained within a green-patinated metal suspension mount. Fashioned in various stones and composite materials, they bear schematic figures, animals, and linear or hieroglyphicising devices, reflecting their ornamental, protective, and sigillary functions. Condition commensurate with age, with surface wear, accretions, minor abrasions, and small edge losses; the principal engraved motifs remain discernible. Size: 19-24mm x 12-23mm; Weight: 28g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with G. M., Sweden 1980s-1990s.
