EGYPTIAN AGATE FISH AMULET Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. An agate amulet carved as a fish, with a rounded body, drilled circular eye, projecting dorsal and ventral fins, and a forked tail. A transverse perforation passes through the body for suspension. Size: 18mm x 33mm; Weight: 5.5g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970Ð2006.
