EGYPTIAN GLAZED STEATITE SCARAB WITH WINGED LION IN SILVER RING Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A glazed steatite scarab set in a possibly later silver ring, with the domed back marked by a single-line suture and pronotum separation. The legs are incised and naturalistic, with striated details on the upper part. The flat base is engraved with a winged figure, possibly a griffin or a sphinx, walking to the right and enclosed by a single incised line.
