COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE DEITY AMULETS New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A collection of three blue faience deity amulets, including, from left to right: the hippopotamus goddess Taweret standing on a rectangular base; a ram-headed hybrid deity with a solar disc between the horns, a dwarf-like human body, and the wings and tail of a bird; and the head of Bes with a plumed headdress and striated beard. Size: 20-36mm x 10-17mm; Weight: 8g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Switzerland; formerly with C.B. collection, 1970s-1990s.
