HELLENISTIC GOLD AND CARNELIAN PENDANT WITH GRANULATION Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A gold pendant composed of a tapering carnelian drop set within a cylindrical gold collar decorated with applied scrolls and clusters of granules. A large suspension loop is attached above and ornamented with further granulation. Size: 20mm x 8mm; Weight: 1.3g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier present on the German art market in the 1990s.
