EASTERN GREEK BONE FITTING WITH MYTHOLOGICAL SCENE AND AGATE INTAGLIO WITH CAPRICORN Ca. 300 BC. A rectangular bone fitting pierced at each end and carved with a mythological scene of standing figures and confronted winged lions. Accompanied by an agate intaglio engraved with a capricorn in profile. Size: 13-15mm x 17-74mm; Weight: 13g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970Ð2006.
