Description
HELLENISTIC OR LATER GOLD LUNAR PENDANT WITH GARNETS Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A lunar gold pendant decorated with a central crescent-shaped cell set with garnet and surrounded by applied wire scrolls. A circular garnet pendant is suspended below, with two further pear-shaped garnet pendants hanging from the pointed terminals. A broad suspension loop above is ornamented with a wire spiral. Size: 46mm x 33mm; Weight: 6.7g Provenance: From a London private collection; purchased in Germany before 2000.
