GRAECO-ETRUSCAN SILVER RING WITH MYTHOLOGICAL ANIMALS Ca. 550 - 500 BC. A silver ring with a rounded hoop and an elongated oval bezel engraved in three registers, divided by horizontal bands and enclosed by a notched border. The upper register depicts a human-headed bird with spread wings, the central register a winged sphinx, and the lower register a hippocamp with raised wing and curved tail. For similar see: The J.
