PAIR OF CARTHAGINIAN AND ROMAN GLASS BEADS Ca. 200 BC - AD 100. A pair of polychrome glass face beads, including, from left to right: a tubular janiform bead with opposed yellow faces, large applied eyes, projecting noses and mouths, with further applied yellow bosses and maroon bands; and a rounded mosaic glass bead with a yellow ground, decorated around the centre with a broad polychrome band incorporating repeated face motifs and chevron patterning.
