ROMAN GOLD PENDANT WITH CABOCHON Ca. AD 1 - 300. A gold pendant with a rounded lower edge and a pointed terminal, bordered by twisted wire and decorated with coiled motifs at the upper corners. A turquoise cabochon is set at the centre within concentric wire frames. Two suspension loops are attached along the upper edge. The reverse is decorated with central concentric circles of twisted wire. Size: 25mm x 24mm; Weight: 3.4g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960sÐ2000.
