BYZANTINE BRONZE ENKOLPION WITH SAINT JOHN Ca. AD 1000 - 1200. A bronze enkolpion cross with flaring arms and hinged terminals above and below. The front is engraved with Saint John standing with raised arms, beneath the inscription "HOANH". The reverse is decorated with a central cross and five circular recesses arranged at the centre and ends of the arms. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 1929,0713.6.
